Amalia
Figueroa is an environmental social worker from University of Chile and currently a doctoral
student at the University of Oxford. Before, specializing at the University of
Cambridge about environmental sustainability, from then she has worked on programs
about renewable energy and reduction of animal consumption at the Union Nations. Last year she released a book about climate change
that was awarded with a Literature Nobel Prize and she is writing another book about water pollution expected to be realease soon with a premiere on Santiago of Chile. Also she is working on a
Netflix documentary serie along Leonardo Di Caprio and Greta Thunberg, that has been recorded on a
lot of exotic places like Amazonas, Madagascar and Cappadocia.
Despite of
her trips around the world, she is currently living on Isle of Skye on Scotland
with her three dogs, five cats, and a little hamster named spooky. As a lover of animals she created an organization on Chile for stray animals and in parallel she is working on the jungle from Sri Lanka with her veterinarian and social worker friends.
